A Tale OF Two Cans

A Tale OF Two Cans

Ran Across This On Facebook And Realized I Had Never Shared On My Blog

Smile a while ...

"A TALE OF TWO CANS" (subtitle: "If you can't laugh at yourself you shouldn't laugh at all")
My wireless trackball mouse has been giving me trouble for a couple of days. The trusty trick of removing the ball and brushing out lint, dust and crumbs wasn't resolving its sluggish response. So finally, this afternoon, an admittedly dim light bulb went on and I reached for the keyboard cleaner spray on the shelf behind my desk. But lo, it was out of compressed air (or whatever is in there). Just my luck, I thought. Then I noticed a can sitting on the corner of the desk next to mine and decided to help myself. The nozzle appeared to be missing, so I aimed carefully at the inside of the cavity where the trackball normally sits and performs. Out sprayed black ooze and it hit me (get it?) ... Susie had just explained a day or so before how she gave new life to her office chair by applying spray dye! After a mad dash to the sink in the office kitchen, I had dark gray hands and was holding a "dead mouse".
Denouement: AFTER ordering a new mouse at Amazon (two-day shipping, thanks Aimee Anderson Gogarty for Prime gift) I searched the internet for a remedy. A Q-tip and rubbing alcohol removed the remaining paint that was blinding the optical lens. Well, now I'll have to stare at the matching devices and ponder the pluralization of mouse when I'm not showing "hice".
